Liam Payne and Niall Horan 'had nothing but love between them' and the Irish star was 'so grateful' his pal came out to his performance in Argentina.

Former One Direction singer Liam flew to Argentina at the beginning of the month and attended Niall's The Show: Live on Tour performance at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires. Not only did Liam share footage of him and his girlfriend having a blast at the concert, but he also shared a sweet selfie he took with Niall.

The singer, who died after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel on Wednesday, took to his Snapchat weeks ago and told fans about his plan to watch Niall perform and admitted to his followers that 'it had been a while since he and Niall had spoken'.

A source recently claimed that Liam 'was so proud' of Niall and added 'there was nothing but love between them'. They said: "When Liam attended Niall’s show earlier this month, he really wanted to just tell him he was proud of him, and it was genuine." The source went on to say Niall 'was so grateful' for Liam coming out.

"Their bond was unbreakable at the end, and their friendship ended on a good note, so to speak," they told MailOnline. When Liam took to his social media to share the news that he was "going to Argentina to see Nialler", Liam said: "Niall Horan is playing down there and I think we might just go to say hello. It's been a while since me and Niall have spoken. We've got a lot to talk about. And I would like to square a couple of things up with the boy."

Clarifying that there was no bad blood between them, Liam continued: "No bad vibes or anything like that. But just … we need to talk." Liam made sure to document the night with plenty of snaps and videos and was thrilled to be spending time with his old bandmate.

In one photo, captioned 'Reunited', Liam and Niall were seen enjoying themselves together - his wish for a catch-up granted. In the caption of another photo, Liam said: "So happy I got to see Niall in concert." In what was his final appearance in public, Liam was seen in a VIP box alongside the crowds at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires.

Fans were ecstatic to see him and filmed him enthusiastically clapping along before he took the time to shake hands and interact. As he jumped down closer to them he was seen singing along to Summer Lovin' from the Grease soundtrack. He was wearing a dark denim jacket and plain white T-shirt.
