Conor McGregor next fight: Jake Paul could beat brother Logan to bout
by Scott Trotter, https://www.facebook.com/ScottTrotterjournalist · Irish MirrorConor McGregor could take on Jake Paul rather than his brother Logan in 2025.
ESPN report that the Dubliner is set to face the YouTuber-turned-boxer in July, August or September of next year in India. It had been claimed that Logan would be the brother to take on McGregor previously.
Earlier this month, former two-division UFC champion McGregor revealed that he was in talks to fight Jake's older brother. The 36-year-old denied reports of a fight with UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, and instead confirmed there was an agreement for a boxing exhibition, reports The Mirror.

McGregor said: "The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon."
Logan did not officially comment on the fight but shared a poster depicting himself and McGregor with a grab of the Irishman's tweet and the eyes emoji. Now it appears that Jake has beaten him to the jump.
However, Logan now appears to be at the front and centre of WWE's plans when they move to Netflix next year. 'The Maverick' is to make his return to sports entertainment on January 6 for Monday Night Raw.
Jake most recently defeated Mike Tyson in a controversial bout but has a track record of taking on mixed martial artists in the ring. The Problem Child has previously defeated Nate Diaz, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Mike Perry.
McGregor has not fought since 2021 when he lost to Dustin Poirier in the Octagon after suffering a broken leg. The Notorious has professionally boxed just once when he was defeated by Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2017.
Jake previously described McGregor as 'washed' and revealed he would only entertain a fight with the UFC star if Dana White was involved in making it.
"Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor and his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate for a fight between us," he said in December.
"As we told them them privately & I’m now saying it publicly… The only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor in a pro boxing / mma fight is if Dana White / UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions. Conor is washed. Needs the Paul’s. Logan by however he wants."
In contrast, Logan had previously called out the Irish fighter before taking on his former teammate Dillon Danis in a boxing bout last year. "Conor McGregor is an average MMA fighter and a horrible boxer," he said.
"I'm going to beat the s*** out of his b**** Dillon and then I'm going beat the s*** out of him. He ghosted me, he won't even bet a million dollars on his fighter.
"That's chump change for a guy like Conor, he won't even bet a million dollars on Dillon. He had nothing to say when I called him out on Twitter. So do you think that he's going to step in there himself? I don't know, feels unlikely."
