'A mass formula on repeat'

User @TE_Aravind shared on X, "#jailer2: A Mass Formula on Repeat! #rajini walks. Rajini talks. Rajini looks around angrily or suspiciously. Someone else does all the action. Anirudh blasts the BGM. But the camera reserves its glorious close-up for Rajini, not the person actually doing the job. Repeat this ten times, and you have Jailer 2! The first half has some genuinely good writing. But the second half suffers from lazy writing, with the focus seemingly shifting from storytelling to accommodating stars from different industries to make it a Pan-India spectacle. #vidyabalan and #mithunchakraborty felt like unnecessary additions. That screen time could have been used to develop #sjsuryah into a far more compelling and menacing villain. #namonarayana and #suraj, however, were absolutely brilliant! For me, there were only just two genuine Rajini moments in the entire film: - The moment Suraj discovers who Rajini really is.- The final scene, with all four walking together against a backdrop of raging fire. Pure mass! Rajini’s screen presence remains undeniable. But screen presence alone cannot keep carrying films where everyone else does the heavy lifting while the superstar gets the close-ups. 'It’s Time' for #rajinikanth to retire from cinema. Not because he has lost his charisma, but because cinema seems to have run out of meaningful ways to use it."

Jailer 2 ending feels forced, Jailer 3 could damage franchise, says fan

X fan @Vijay70269050 shared via X, "I feel Jailer 3 Shouldn't happen. Jailer 2 has a strong baseline that was continued perfectly from Jailer . But Jailer 2 ending feels forced. There is no need of Kantha alive and coming as a villain in Part 3. It will tire the audience if the same Action blocks, slow motion walks, pera thooka naalu peru pattatha parikka nooru peru is getting played and Cameos are saving Superstar and his family. @Nelsondilpkumar did a great job in sequel. But a Trilogy is not needed. It will damage the reputation of the Two Jailer parts. Nelson can team up with superstar and can make more better scripts than this. He can deliver 1000crores. He is capable. But A triology will damage his reputation."
