Chase & Status have joined the cast of the forthcoming James Bond video game, 007: First Light.

The game's developer IO Interactive, the Danish studio known for their work on the Hitman series, confirmed the news via X yesterday (April 28), writing: "From underground beats to high-stakes espionage, get ready to turn the speakers up."

IO also shared an in-game photo of the drum 'n' bass duo behind a flashing DJ booth with the pair's moniker emblazoned in front of it, eluding to the fact that they will feature as themselves in the game's story.

The duo are the second electronic act to join the cast of 007: First Light, after it was confirmed last month (March 31) that "superstar DJ" Dimitri Vegas will also feature in the game alongside his exclusive remix of the James Bond theme, first teased at this year's Tomorrowland.

Set for release on May 27 across Xbox, Playstation and PC, 007: First Light will focus on the origin story of the license-to-kill-holder during his early days with Mi6.

This isn't the first time IO have immersed players into the club world; 2021's Hitman 3 features a level that incorporates nods to Berlin's infamous techno venues where players can explore Club Hölle (Club Hell), which has a striking similarity to Berghain – even with its own Sven-inspired bouncer.
