Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, AKA one half of Daft Punk, has been credited on Rosalía's 'Reliquia', the second track on the Spanish pop star's new album 'LUX'.

Rosalía's latest album was first teased last month with the Björk and Yves Tumor-featuring lead single, 'Berghain' — named after the famed Berlin techno club.

Earlier this week, fans had speculated about Guy-Manuel's potential involvement in the record after 'LUX' was leaked two days ahead of its release due to a reported "cyber attack".

Upon its release today (November 7), the former robot was officially listed in the credits for 'Reliquia' as a "composer and songwriter".

While Guy-Manuel has often been credited in pop music alongside his former Daft Punk duo partner, Thomas Bangalter, for the use of samples, 'Reliquia' appears to be original songwriting.

It's an elegant, string-led track across which Rosalía sings emotionally about giving parts of herself away when she's in love. In the final moments, there's a dramatic switch up into a faster-paced clubby beat and vocal chops.

The full list of "written by" credits also has Caroline Shaw, David Rodriguez, Dylan Wiggins, Noah Goldstein and Ryan Tedder alongside Rosalía and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The latter is not among the "produced by" credits.

The news comes after a series of developments for both Guy-Manuel and his former Daft Punk duo partner, Thomas Bangalter, fuelling the ever-turning rumour mill about Daft Punk and a possible return.

Bangalter performed his first DJ set in 16 years last month, in b4b with former Daft Punk manager and Ed Banger Records founder Busy P, Erol Alkan, and Fred again.. as part of a Because Music showcase at the Centre Pompidou, Paris.

Meanwhile, Because Music founder Emmanuel de Buretel hinted at potential solo music from Guy-Manuel during a recent interview with radio station France Inter, commenting "Guy-Man is making his album".
