Slim Buster reveals why Tic Tac was his favourite artiste to work with

The veteran musician made the revelation during an interview with George Quaye on Joy Prime while reflecting on some of the artistes he worked with during his career.
“I would say it was Tic Tac,” Slim Buster said when asked which musician he enjoyed working with most.
He explained that Tic Tac’s stubbornness was actually one of the reasons he liked working with him.
“Yeah, because he’s a stubborn boy and I love people like that to work with,” he said.
Slim Buster recalled working with Tic Tac on “Masanaba”, saying they recorded the rap more than 50 times before he finally got the version he wanted.
“We did it over 50 times,” he said.
According to Slim Buster, he already knew what he wanted as the producer, but Tic Tac became frustrated because of how many times he was asked to repeat the rap.
“He got so angry with me. I am the producer. I know what I’m looking for,” Slim Buster recalled.
But the repeated attempts eventually paid off.
“When I get that rap straight away. So the very last one he did, he was topnotch. He was there and I said, ‘Yeah, this is what I’m looking for. Now, let’s go.’”
Slim Buster said the song also gave Tic Tac a major platform at the time.
