Speaking during a recent interview with media personality VJ Adams, the 55-year-old film star said she is uncomfortable with long-distance travel by road within the country.

Bello said she would only consider travelling by road if there is strong personal motivation.

The Lagos-based mother of two noted that Ibadan, which is about two hours’ drive from Lagos, is the farthest distance she is willing to travel by road.

“I can fly, I can do water, but I don’t like road trips. Road trips are not my thing, I don’t like them,” she said.

“Maybe I haven’t experienced it in a fun way, but I can do road trips abroad. Road trips here (Nigeria)? No, thank you.

“Only if there is a motivation, if the person is extremely dear to me, and everybody knows me now. They go, ‘don’t invite her because she won’t come’. Once it’s farther than Ibadan, count me out.”

In 2012, she starred in the popular television series ‘Tinsel’ and ‘Taste of Love’.

Since then, Bello has featured in several Yoruba and English-language films and TV series, including ‘When Love Happens’, ‘Gbomo Gbomo Express’, ‘Chief Daddy’, and ‘Battleground’.
