Ayra Starr says Burna Boy is her top choice for a collaboration

Ayra Starr, the Nigerian superstar, has named Grammy-winning icon Burna Boy as her dream collaborator, while expressing admiration for all her fellow nominees.

In a recent interview with Billboard News, the singer discussed her 2026 Grammy nomination for ‘Best African Music Performance,’ a category featuring heavyweights like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Tyla, Eddy Kenzo, and Mehran Matin.

When asked which of the artistes she would like to feature with, Starr enthusiastically stated, “All of them,” but was quick to highlight one name in particular.

Ayra Starr described the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker as her most sort after person she wants a collaboration with.

The songstress called the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker her most sought-after musical partner.

“Burna was nominated. Everyone knows Burna is like the number one person I would love to collaborate with,” she said.

“I have collaborated with a lot of people and I still want to collaborate with many more people. So all of them. Everybody on there.”

Reflecting on the significance of earning her second Grammy nomination, Starr shared that it has deepened her confidence.

“The second time I was nominated for Grammy is like an assurance that I am good at this. I know why I am doing. It is for me to trust God and myself even more,” she added.

Ayra Starr also revealed that she is working to release a new album this year.
