In a blog post, GWR revealed that Baci fulfilled one of the conditions of the attempt: avoiding food waste by serving more than 16,000 plates of the jollof rice to attendees.

“Hilda and Gino Nigeria also had to follow strict rules when it came to the distribution of the food, with none of it allowed to be wasted,” the post reads in part.

On her part, the celebrity chef said achieving the record was difficult but satisfying. She added that the feat is a shared victory for all Nigerians.
