Lee Byung Hun missed out on winning Best Actor at the Golden Globe Awards and applauded winner Timothée Chalamet.

The 83rd Golden Globe Awards were held on January 11 at 8 p.m. local time (10 a.m. KST on January 12) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.

The film “No Choice” starring Lee Byung-hun was nominated in three categories: Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Non-English Language Motion Picture, and Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Although Lee was considered a strong contender for Best Actor, the award ultimately went to Timothée Chalamet for his performance in “Marty Supreme.” Lee was seen applauding Chalamet following the announcement.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s animated film “K-pop Demon Hunters” achieved a double win at the ceremony, taking home awards for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song for the track “Golden” performed by Huntrix.
