G-Dragon officially mentions BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary comeback

Singer G-Dragon has officially mentioned Big Bang’s comeback.

According to his agency Galaxy Corporation on the 9th, G-Dragon spoke about the group’s return during his first solo fan meeting held at KSPO Dome in Seoul’s Olympic Park. He stated, “BIGBANG will be making a 20th anniversary comeback this year. As both a member and a fan, I am also looking forward to it, and I believe all the members feel the same. Spring is coming soon, so please take a short rest along the flower path and wait for us.”

Galaxy Corporation also commented on G-Dragon’s three day fan meeting, which gathered approximately 40,000 attendees, saying, “From newly joined teenage fans who recently began following him to long time supporters who shared their youth during Big Bang’s peak years and are now middle aged, fans from different generations sang together in the same space.”

G-Dragon added, “I wanted to create a gathering like a family reunion for those who could not join the tour. It felt like a wishlist come true, and it was more enjoyable because we were together. I love you.”

The artist had previously hinted at a full group comeback on several occasions, including award ceremonies. Last month at the Golden Disc Awards held at Taipei Dome in Taiwan, he received the Digital Song of the Year award for “Home Sweet Home,” which featured fellow Big Bang members Taeyang and Daesung.

While accepting the award, he said, “I am happy to receive the Digital Song Grand Prize as the first award of the new year. Thank you to the fans. This year, I will return together with the BIGBANG members.”

In addition, during the encore concert of his third world tour ‘G-Dragon 2025 World Tour Übermensch’ held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul last December, he revealed preliminary plans, saying, “Next year marks BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary. We will begin warming up from around April next year, something like a workshop.”
