'Yumi's Cells' season 3 confirms return in 2026 with Kim Go Eun, Kim Jae Won, & more

The beloved TVING-original series 'Yumi's Cells', the first Korean drama of its kind to combine live action and 3D animation on-screen, has confirmed its return with season 3 in 2026.

The story of season 3 picks up where season 2 left off, as Yumi (played by Kim Go Eun), now a hit writer, once again experiences the highs and lows of life, love, and all of the accompanying processes that respond to those encounters within the body, portrayed through the lovable animated cell characters. 

Kim Go Eun will once again team up with director Song Jae Jung and scriptwriter Kim Kyung Ran for season 3, joined by both new and familiar faces. Actor Kim Jae Won will greet viewers in season 3 as the new love interest Soon Rok, a young editor for Yumi's book publisher. Choi Daniel additionally joins the cast as Kim Joo Ho, a drama-original character and a fellow writer. Actor Jeon Seok Ho, who played Ahn Dae Yong in the drama's previous seasons, will return once again to help Yumi when she's in need, as will Mi Ram, also known as Yumi's friend Aida

Also starring Jo Hye Jung, Park Se In, Sung Ji Ru, Lee Yoo Bi, and more, 'Yumi's Cells' season 3 is coming next year to TVING.
