SEVENTEEN member Joshua is set to take the stage at UNESCO headquarters in Paris to deliver a message of encouragement to young people around the world.

Joshua will attend the 'UNESCO x SEVENTEEN: Celebrating Youth, Creativity and Well-Being Together' ceremony on June 25 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris as a UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador.

The event celebrates “Going Together,” the global youth support initiative jointly promoted by SEVENTEEN and UNESCO. Representing the group, Joshua will deliver a speech highlighting the importance of youth empowerment, creativity, and solidarity.

UNESCO Director-General-designate Khaled El-Enany and other officials are expected to attend the ceremony, which will be livestreamed through UNESCO’s official YouTube channel.

SEVENTEEN has maintained a close partnership with UNESCO through a variety of youth-focused initiatives. Upon being appointed UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassadors, the group donated $1 million USD to establish the Global Youth Grant Scheme, supporting projects aimed at strengthening youth capabilities through culture, arts, sports, community development, and mental health initiatives.

The group also donated proceeds from a charity auction held in celebration of International Youth Day last year. The additional funding will be used to provide expanded support for 10 outstanding teams selected from 100 youth groups participating in the “Going Together” program.

SEVENTEEN has consistently advocated for global youth engagement through its collaboration with UNESCO. In November 2023, the group became the first K-pop act to host a special session at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum, and in June 2025, they were officially appointed as UNESCO’s first-ever Youth Goodwill Ambassadors.

With Joshua now preparing to speak on behalf of the group, SEVENTEEN continues to use its global platform to inspire and support young people around the world.
