Actor Ha Jung Woo is set to return to television this spring with tvN’s new weekend drama 'Mad Concrete Dreams.' The series has already generated strong buzz following the release of its first casting teaser on February 6.

Scheduled to premiere on March 14, tvN’s new Saturday–Sunday drama 'Mad Concrete Dreams' (written by Oh Han Ki, directed by Yim Pil Sung) draws attention with its unique focus on building investment and real estate ownership, a subject that deeply resonates with South Korean audiences. The drama explores the desires and conflicts surrounding property ownership in a society often described as a “real estate republic.”

The newly released teaser showcases the tangled interests of a powerful lead cast, including Ha Jung Woo, Im Soo Jung, Kim Jun Han, Krystal, and Shim Eun Kyung, all connected through a single building. 'Mad Concrete Dreams' is a suspense drama that follows a debt-ridden, livelihood-dependent building owner who becomes involved in a fake kidnapping plot in a desperate attempt to protect both his family and his most valuable asset.

In the teaser, Ha Jung Woo introduces his character Ki Su Jong, an “all-in loan” building owner, with the line, “Being a building owner isn’t easy.” His wife Kim Seon, played by Im Soo Jung, voices her anxiety, saying, “How long has the building been on the market?” Ki Su Jong’s close friend Min Hwal Seong, portrayed by Kim Jun Han, casually suggests, “Why don’t you sell the building to me?” Min’s wife Jeon Yi Kyung, played by Krystal, shows a relaxed attitude, remarking, “What’s the problem with money?” Adding an air of mystery, Shim Eun Kyung appears as Yona, a shadowy executor of capital, proposing a deal with the line, “Three billion KRW. That works, right?”

Each character’s dialogue hints at conflicting interests and intertwined desires, raising anticipation for how their relationships will unravel. The teaser’s striking tagline, “The final lifeline for a life-changing comeback. Are you curious?” provokes questions about what it truly takes to become a building owner in Korea and what one must ultimately endure.

The teaser concludes with the door of a dark basement slowly opening, foreshadowing a dangerous and irreversible incident and heightening anticipation for the premiere. Backed by a formidable cast lineup and a suspenseful narrative grounded in realistic social issues, tvN’s 'Mad Concrete Dreams' is expected to deliver intense immersion and powerful performances. The drama premieres on March 14 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
