Taeyeon says the Japan concert cancellation was not due to an accident but a mistake
by Sophie-Ha · allkpopTaeyeon continued to express her frustration regarding the Japan concert cancellation.
On April 17, SM Entertainment announced through Taeyeon's official Japanese website that her solo 10th anniversary concert 'The ODD of TENSE,' originally scheduled to be held on April 19–20 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, was canceled.
Following the cancellation, the singer took to Bubble to open up about the cancellation and expressed her heartbreak. She said, "I hate everything about this situation. I feel so sorry to S♡NE. All the hard work and excitement that went into this show—it all disappeared in an instant. It feels like something was stolen from us. I don’t even know how to describe this emptiness and frustration.”
She continued to communicate with fans thereafter and shared her honest thoughts on the situation, and expressed anger. She explained that the undelivered equipment was not an accident but a clear mistake.
Taeyeon wrote, "Someone needs to check it out, but since they aren't doing anything right now, I can't keep getting hurt, and I really." She continued, "It's not an accident, it was a mistake, and there were some shortcomings."
Korean fans and netizens discussed this issue and also expressed frustration. They commented:
"Didn't something else happen in her last concert too?"
"She knows what happened the best since it was her concert, but she shouldn't be saying things like that if her agency didn't even release an official statement on why it happened. Just making the situation worse."
"That agency is really bad at working."
"This is not the first huge accident that happened."
"I think she needs to change agencies."
"I think she's going to leave once her contract expires."
"The company made a lot of mistakes, and she has always been public about her dissatisfaction."
"She shouldn't say it was a mistake because it's more understandable if it was an accident. Now, fans are just going to be more angry."
"I guess it wasn't even a carrier accident, it was the company's mistake."
"What mistake did SM make this time?"
"She needs to part ways with SM."
"I understand her anger, too. It was her whole concert that got cancelled."
"Wow, they didn't release an official statement yet?"
"I think the company should release an official statement and admit their mistake."
"What's wrong with SM."
