CORTIS continues explosive momentum with ‘TNT’ promotions and record-breaking album sales
by Alec06 · allkpopCORTIS is continuing the strong momentum of its second mini album ‘GREENGREEN’ while actively promoting the b-side track “TNT.”
CORTIS appeared on MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ on May 9 and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on May 10, where the group performed both the title track “REDRED” and the album track “TNT.”
While “REDRED” has recently seen explosive popularity across social media platforms, “TNT” further captured viewers with the group’s raw and energetic charm.
“TNT,” a track from ‘GREENGREEN,’ highlights the confidence and ambition of all five members on stage. Featuring powerful guitar melodies layered over heavy bass sounds, the song also drew attention because the members directly participated in the songwriting process, choreography creation, and music video production.
The group’s strong live performance abilities have also become a major talking point. Recently appearing on the YouTube music channel ‘it’s Live,’ CORTIS delivered energetic live vocals and performances backed by a live band arrangement. Their ability to interact naturally with the audience while performing created a festival-like atmosphere and further showcased the group’s musical capabilities.
CORTIS also made an impressive impact on the global stage. On May 10, the group made its first appearance at ‘KCON JAPAN 2026’ held at Makuhari Messe in Japan, taking over the event’s main ‘M Countdown Stage.’
Beginning their performance from the floor area while singing the album track “YOUNGCREATORCREW,” the members quickly energized local fans. Even during intense group choreography, the group maintained stable live vocals, leaving a strong impression on the audience.
The group’s momentum has also translated into remarkable album sales. According to Hanteo Chart on May 11, CORTIS’s second mini album ‘GREENGREEN’ recorded 2,313,291 copies in first-week sales.
The figure marks more than a fivefold increase compared to the group’s previous release and currently ranks second among K-pop albums released this year in terms of first-week sales, following BTS.
CORTIS is set to continue its busy schedule by appearing at major university festivals, including Dankook University’s Jukjeon campus on May 13 and Hongik University’s Seoul campus on May 14.
