ZEROBASEONE returns as five-member group in May, marking a new beginning

ZEROBASEONE is set to make a comeback this May, opening a new chapter in their career.

According to multiple industry sources on March 17, ZEROBASEONE, now consisting of Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, and Park Gunwook, is currently preparing a new album with the goal of returning to the music scene in May. This upcoming release will be the group’s first official activity since reorganizing into a five-member lineup, drawing attention to how their musical identity may evolve following the change.

The new album is expected to include contributions from well-known songwriters and producers from both Korea and overseas. As it represents a fresh start for the group, the album is reportedly being produced with exceptional care and attention.

ZEROBASEONE recently wrapped up their encore concert, [2026 ZEROBASEONE WORLD TOUR ‘HERE&NOW’ ENCORE], held from March 13 to 15 at the KSPO DOME in Seoul. The concert marked the end of the group’s activities as a nine-member act.

Following the concert, the group officially reorganized into five members. Meanwhile, Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin have returned to their original agency, Yuehua Entertainment, to prepare for new opportunities. Attention is also growing around the individual activities of each member.

On March 17, industry representatives further confirmed that ZEROBASEONE is preparing for a May release. In response, their agency WAKEONE stated, “They are preparing to return and impress as soon as possible. The exact schedule will be revealed later on.”

Originally formed through 'BOYS PLANET,' ZEROBASEONE has built a strong story and global fanbase over the past two and a half years. With their upcoming comeback, expectations are high for the music and concept they will present in this new phase. The group’s new album is scheduled for release in May.
