Actor Kim Seon Ho showcased his impressive linguistic abilities while promoting his upcoming Netflix series 'Can This Love Be Translated?.'

On January 13, a production press conference for the series was held at Josun Palace Seoul Gangnam in Gangnam, Seoul. The event was attended by Kim Seon Ho, Go Youn Jung, and director Yoo Young Eun.

'Can This Love Be Translated?' is a Netflix romantic comedy that follows the unpredictable romance that unfolds when multilingual interpreter Joo Ho Jin begins working as the personal interpreter for global top star Cha Mu Hee.

In the series, Kim Seon Ho takes on the role of Joo Ho Jin, a highly skilled interpreter fluent in multiple languages, ranging from English and Japanese to Italian. Speaking about the role, Kim explained, “The character I play is fluent in six languages. In the drama, I actually performed in four languages—Japanese, English, Italian, and Korean.”

He continued, “I focused on learning the languages exactly as they appeared in the script, and then practiced adding emotion to the lines. I studied for about four months.” When host Park Kyung Lim jokingly asked, “At that point, doesn’t that make you a language genius?” Kim responded with a laugh, saying, “There were definitely limits. Please keep in mind that I only learned the specific lines required for the script.”

Meanwhile, 'Can This Love Be Translated?' is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on January 16.
