According to Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex rankings released on February 3, Mina Sue Choi topped the TV–OTT integrated non-drama buzz rankings for the fifth week of January, placing first among all non-scripted TV personalities. Her popularity is driven largely by her appearance on 'Single’s Inferno 5.'

On the show, Mina Sue Choi drew attention for her candid and at times controversial behavior. While on a date with Song Seung Il, she openly expressed interest in Lim Su Bin, and when speaking to other female contestants, she referenced multiple men while discussing her feelings. Her blunt honesty, which often crossed into perceived rudeness, ultimately earned her the label of the show’s “villain.”
