AKMU drops new profile photo under their new label 'Cemter of Inspiration'

AKMU has officially started a new chapter of their music career, releasing a new profile photo under their new label, 'Cemter of Inspiration.'

On February 2, AKMU unveiled a new profile photo along with the official name of their self-established agency. Earlier last month, the duo announced through Weverse that the group's exclusive contract with YG Entertainment had expired and that AKMU's contract would be transferred to a new label.

This marks the first official update from AKMU following the last announcement. Along with the new profile photo, AKMU also revealed the official English company name: "Cemter of Inspiration."

Meanwhile, AKMU rose to stardom after appearing on the second season of 'K-Pop Star,' gaining much love for their musical talent. The duo signed with YG Entertainment after winning the season and officially debuted in 2014.

After 12 years with the label, AKMU decided to part ways with YG Entertainment and made the announcement of their departure in November 2025.

Moreover, "Cemter of Inspiration," which is a play on the words that also mean "Fountain of Inspiration," is a name already familiar to fans. In 2023, Lee Chan Hyuk held an exhibition under the name 'Fountain of Inspiration' in 2023, followed by 'Lee Chan Hyuk: Fountain of Inspiration: The Last Drop' in 2025.
