"Hello, this is BeLift Lab.
Recently, instances of illegally obtaining personal information of the ILLIT members and threatening their safety have crossed the line, and thus, we would like to share BeLift Lab's position on this matter.
After ILLIT completed their official overseas schedule and some members embarked on the trip back home following their personal schedules, a serious invasion of privacy occurred. Aware of the pervasive leaking of private information regarding the artists’ flights schedules we changed the members' departure airport and flight time right before their return to further ensure the artists' safety. Nevertheless, a number of individuals had already obtained this updated flight information and followed them to the alternate airport.
Some even went beyond attempting to approach and converse with the artists, pointing out whether they were wearing masks and demanding photos against their will, thereby threatening the members. What is particularly alarming is that the changed flight information was confidential, known only to the artists themselves and a very small number of staff, yet it was leaked in real time.
We have repeatedly stated that any illegal acquisition of personal information of our artists as well as attendance at undisclosed schedules is a very serious issue, and that we are pursuing legal action. However, as a result of recent instances where individuals tracked the artists’ personal schedules in real time, appeared at the scene, attempted contact, and threatened them, BeLift Lab has determined that this has reached a level that can no longer be overlooked.
Accordingly, we have requested active cooperation from the relevant airline to verify its information access history and log records. In addition, we are continuously collecting evidence against those engaging in stalking behavior which threatens our artists, and we firmly reiterate that we will hold such individuals strictly accountable under the principle of zero tolerance.
We will do our utmost to ensure that our artists can focus on their activities in a safe environment. We will employ any means or methods necessary to protect our artists from stalking behaviors, and we ask for fans’ active reports and cooperation.
Thank you."
