BLACKPINK has set a new record in the United States.

On January 16, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced on its official website that BLACKPINK’s single 'JUMP' has recently earned Gold certification.

The RIAA grants certifications based on a combined tally of physical sales, paid downloads, and streaming activity in the U.S. Gold is awarded at 500,000 units, Platinum at 1 million units, and Multi-Platinum at 2 million units.

According to the official announcement, 'JUMP' surpassed 500,000 units, equivalent to 75 million streams, as of December 11, 2022. Notably, the milestone was achieved solely through streaming, without the release of a physical album.

JUMP” also set a record on Spotify, becoming the fastest song by a K-pop girl group to surpass 300 million streams. The track has remained on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 consecutive weeks and the Global 200 for 26 straight weeks.

The song’s global popularity extends beyond the U.S. as well. It has received Platinum certification in Canada and France, while earning Gold certifications in Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to release their third mini album, 'Deadline,' on February 27.
