KBS's 'Music Bank' apologizes for On-Air caption error during No.1 announcement
by K-Soul · allkpopKBS 2TV’s 'Music Bank' has issued an apology following a caption error that occurred during the announcement of the weekly No. 1 on the show.
On January 23, Music Bank stated on its official website, “During today’s broadcast, an on-screen caption error occurred in the process of announcing the No. 1 on the Music Bank K-Chart, resulting in the names of last week’s nominee teams and song titles being displayed.”
The statement continued, “We sincerely apologize for the confusion caused to viewers, artists, and fans. We will thoroughly review the entire production process to ensure that such an incident does not happen again.”
On this day, ENHYPEN and ALPHA DRIVE ONE were nominated for first place, with ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s “Freak Alarm” ultimately taking the top spot. However, the broadcast mistakenly displayed the names of last week’s nominees, idntt and Apink, on screen.
Meanwhile, 'Music Bank' airs every Friday at 5:05 PM on KBS 2TV.
