The aftermath of ENHYPEN’s former member Heeseung’s departure has now extended to BTS’s producer, EL CAPITXN (real name Jang Yijeong).

On March 12, EL CAPITXN took to his social media to post a message laced with profanity, saying, “Stop sending me messages about Heeseung. This XXXX, he can have a hard time too. If you’re really fans, hug him before throwing stones. Stop blaming me. This stupid XXXX.”

The sudden outburst sparked criticism from netizens, presumed to be Heeseung’s fans. When one fan commented, Heeseung wouldn’t have debuted without fans. Fans come first,” EL CAPITXN replied, “If it weren’t for Heeseung, there wouldn’t be any fans.” The post was later edited to, “These XXXX, I have no idea if they can’t read or just never learned. Totally unpredictable,” and is currently updated to, “Now go away. Go play on Twitter.”

Amidst the controversy, some fans speculated that EL CAPITXN, who reportedly had a close relationship with Heeseung, may have unintentionally influenced the artist’s decision to leave. EL CAPITXN was involved in music production for Heeseung’s self-composed track “Highway 1009,” continuing to work closely with him musically.

Meanwhile, Belift Lab officially announced on March 10 that Heeseung would end his activities with ENHYPEN, with the group continuing as a six-member team. The agency stated, “We discussed and reflected on the group’s future direction and next goals. Through in-depth conversations about each member’s aspirations and the team’s direction, we recognized Heeseung’s clear artistic vision and decided to respect his choice.”

Heeseung also addressed fans in a handwritten letter, writing, “I am preparing an album diligently to meet you all as soon as possible. I will always carry ENHYPEN’s fans’ love in my heart as I move forward.”
