Han Ji Min and Park Sung Hoon lead script reading for JTBC's upcoming weekend romance series
by K-Soul · allkpopActress Han Ji Min and Park Sung Hoon are set to deliver compelling on-screen chemistry in JTBC’s upcoming weekend drama.
On January 8, the production team behind JTBC’s new Saturday–Sunday series 'Efficient Dating for Singles' (written by Lee Yi Jin, directed by Lee Jae Hoon) released photos from the script reading. The session was attended by Han Ji Min, Park Sung Hoon, Lee Ki Taek, and other cast members.
'Efficient Dating for Singles' tells the story of a woman who has decided to pursue love and finds herself on blind dates with two very different men, ultimately discovering the true meaning of love.
Han Ji Min stars as Lee Ui Young, an assistant manager at The Hills Hotel. While her career is smooth sailing, her love life remains stuck in neutral. On set, Han led the atmosphere with her bright and engaging energy.
Park Sung Hoon and Lee Ki Taek play Ui Young’s blind date partners, Song Tae Seop and Shin Ji Soo, respectively. Park brought his own nuanced touch to Song Tae Seop’s warm and gentle demeanor, adding a comforting presence to the character.
Lee Ki Taek, meanwhile, embodied the complete opposite type. He transforms into the free-spirited younger man Shin Ji Soo, expressing the character’s unpredictability through his gaze and tone, further heightening curiosity over Ui Young’s ultimate choice.
The ensemble cast also includes Jung Hye Sung and Kim So Hye, who add vitality to the story as Ui Young’s colleagues Jung Hyun Min and Shim Sae Byeok. Each brings distinct personality traits that enhance the drama’s entertainment value.
The production team commented, “From the very first script reading, the actors showed incredible chemistry. With a lighthearted yet deeply relatable story, the drama will explore modern-day dating dilemmas.”
'Efficient Dating for Singles' is scheduled to premiere on February 28.
