Pre-orders for BTS's 5th full album 'Arirang' surpass 4 million copies just one week after opening

Pre-orders for 'Arirang', the 5th full album by BTS, have surpassed 4 million copies, according to distributor YG Plus

As of January 22 KST, pre-orders for 'Arirang' have surpassed 4,060,000 copies, just one week after opening last week on January 16. Previously, the group's 4th full album 'Map of the Soul : 7' recorded over 5 million copies in pre-orders in 2020. With approximately two months left before the release of 'Arirang', the album's pre-orders are expected to easily surpass the previous record set by 'Map of the Soul : 7'. 

Additionally, 'Arirang' has surpassed 2 million pre-saves on Spotify as of this week, looking to take on the record set by Taylor Swift's 12th full album 'The Life of a Showgirl' which recorded over 6 million pre-saves by its release. 

'Arirang' will be released worldwide on March 20 at midnight EST / 1 PM KST.
