MONSTA X’s Joohoney is gearing up for a solo comeback, making him the first Starship Entertainment artist to return in 2026.

On December 17, Starship Entertainment announced that Joohoney is currently in the final stages of preparation for a solo comeback slated for early January 2026. The announcement comes as MONSTA X continues their ‘2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour’ in the United States.

This marks Joohoney’s first solo release in nearly two years and eight months, following his first mini album ‘LIGHTS’ in May 2023. The comeback is also highly anticipated as it will be his first solo project since completing his mandatory military service earlier this year.

Joohoney previously earned praise for writing and composing all tracks on his solo debut, establishing his own distinct musical style. Known as MONSTA X’s main rapper, producer, and songwriter, he is expected to showcase an even broader musical spectrum through his upcoming release.

Meanwhile, MONSTA X will wrap up their U.S. tour in Miami on December 20 before launching their new world tour, ‘THE X : NEXUS,’ at Seoul’s KSPO DOME from January 30 to February 1, 2026.
