Song Hye Kyo celebrates Fin.K.L’s Lee Jin’s birthday, proving 30-year friendship

Actress Song Hye Kyo and Lee Jin of the iconic girl group Fin.K.L showcased their long-standing friendship, proving that some bonds only get stronger with time.

On March 27, Song Hye Kyo shared a series of photos on her social media account with the caption, “These days.” Among the snapshots, the actress is seen celebrating Lee Jin’s birthday, smiling brightly in front of a cake, making the classic ‘V’ sign, and posing cheek-to-cheek with her longtime friend.

The pair are alumni of EunKwang Girls’ High School, famously known alongside actress Han Hye Jin as the “top three beauties” of their school. Their friendship dates back to the late 1990s, marking more than 30 years of connection. Over the years, both Song Hye Kyo and Lee Jin have shared glimpses of their camaraderie on social media, including a heartwarming photo of them leaning their heads together last November that captured public attention.

Lee Jin debuted in 1998 as a member of Fin.K.L, one of Korea’s most beloved “national girl groups,” and has also pursued acting. She married a non-celebrity six years her senior in 2016.

Song Hye Kyo made her debut in 1996 and gained fame through popular dramas including 'Soonpoong Clinic,' 'Autumn in My Heart,' 'Worlds Within,' and 'The Glory.' She is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix series 'Tantara,' which explores the South Korean entertainment industry from the 1960s to the 1980s.
