On Wednesday, fans from all over the world came together to send support trucks to Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, GoldMedalist and the trucks were parked outside the agency building in Seoul. The truck featured LED banners, images of actors, encouraging messages and words like “We trust you, Kim Soo Hyun” and “A master of his art.”
Earlier when Kim Soo Hyun faced backlash from the public, fans used to support him and stand beside him. On April 22, the Kim Soo Hyun Fan Union, including Daum Cafe Eucharis and DC Inside’s Kim Soo Hyun Gallery, announced plans to pursue legal action against those spreading false and defamatory content online.
According to a report by Allkpop, the fan union issued a formal statement highlighting the persistent spread of harmful rumors about the actor on social media and online forums.
The statement read as, “There has been an ongoing spread of malicious rumors and defamation targeting Kim Soo Hyun by individuals unrelated to him,” the statement read. “We are currently pursuing a criminal complaint.”
On April 15, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, confirmed that they have filed a formal legal complaint to those who are defaming the actor and causing chaos on the internet.
According to the actor’s agency, Gold Medalist, these rumors have caused widespread misunderstanding and have significantly damaged the actor’s reputation. They added, “In recent days, malicious posts and defamatory comments about our artist, Kim Soo Hyun, have been recklessly circulating online. These include groundless claims and irrational speculation, which have led to public misperception and serious harm to the artist’s image.”
