He spoke to India Forums and said, "Isse bhi jyda kharab aaya hai, ye toh bahut badi jagah hai. Jab main pehli baar Bombay aaya tha toh, maine Mumbai filmo mein dekha tha, badi badi buildings aur ye saari cheeze. So when I came here, I was 19 and main apne uncle ke sath mein aaya tha. Unhone mujhe kaha tha ke waha badi badi buildings hoti hai and this and that. I had come to Mumbai from Jaipur. So I remember when I got down of the cab and saw the place he brought me to, because obviously budget was an issue, I started looking around. Armaan ka toh chalo chawl hai and better jagah hai lekin wo building bhi isse kum nahi thi."

The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star added that he was disappointed as he had big dreams when he came to Mumbai and he had to stay in such a small place. When he got a room there, it was smaller than Armaan's new house' bathroom as well. He further shared that even in that room, some DJ speakers and other stuffs were kept so they had only space where a person can sleep.

He shared, "One room mein bhi half room owner ne apne paas rakha tha kyunki usne ekdum 2-3k mein humko wo room de diya tha. Gas nahi thi, bread butter khate thhe. Kyunki main vegetarian hoon toh muje issue hota tha jahan non veg banta hai wahan khane mein."

He shared that when they started shooting for the new phase of Abhira-Armaan, he got all those old memories back. However, when he went through this kind of situation in real life, he never stepped back or thought of going back to Jaipur.
