Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Sikandar has grabbed attention. The film was the most awaited one and it released on March 30. The movie is getting mixed reactions from the audience. It opened up with good numbers at the box office, but now there is a decline in the numbers. Sikandar has faced hurdles like online leaks and mixed critical reviews.
The movie also features Rashmika in the lead role. The new pairing of Salman and Rashmika has been loved.
Now, Gaiety Galaxy owner, Manoj Desai has opened up about the public reaction on Sikandar. He spoke to Vickey Lalwani and criticized Salman for killing Rashmika’s character so early in the film.
He said, “I have gotten reviews from the public, and trade analyst Komal Nahta also told me that, ‘What was the need to kill the heroine so early on in the film?’ ‘What complex did you have?’ And then, when you take the film forward, if you feel something isn’t right… aap kyu asal mein Salman Khan dikhte nahi ho?”
He further said that Gaiety Galaxy is like second home for Salman but he is just sharing what the public has told him about Sikandar. He said, “I know you will feel bad because of my interview because I am your friend, and Gaiety Galaxy is your second home but I am telling what the public is telling me.”
As per Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 5.75 crore in India on its fifth day bringing its total India net collection to Rs 90 crore in its first week.
The film is directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie also features Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Sharman Joshi.
Mohanlal and Prithviraj’s L2: Empuraan also released around the same time and it has been a huge success. This can be a threat for Sikandar.
