Sikandar, the highly anticipated film of Salman Khan which was released on Eid, failed to meet the expectations of his fans and were left disappointed. The film was directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
The film stars Salman Khan in the lead role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Kishore, Jatin Sarna and Sanjay Kapoor. The film was made on a budget of Rs 200 crore.
Despite the negative response from the fans, Wardha Nadiadwala, the wife of film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, took to social media to re-share positive reactions from the audience.
However, Wardha Nadiadwala's attempts to highlight the positive qualities of the film met with resistance from fans, who began trolling her for ignoring the film's glaring flaws. Things took for the worse when a Salman Khan fan revealed that Wardha had resorted to abusive language in her replies to tweets that criticised the film.
This sparked outrage amongst the fans and quickly went viral. The fans pointed out that Wardha’s behaviour was unacceptable and unbecoming of a public figure. This has caused chaos with many fans expressing their discontent with the film’s poor storyline and the subsequent handling of criticism by the film's producers.
A fan replied to one of Warda Nadiadwala's tweets and the tweet read as, “This type of language is unexpected coming from you. Mam, At least u should come forward & accept d failure. Paid reviews & all hv never been associated with Salman sir. Ups & downs keep happening in d industry, but what’s the harm in coming forward & accepting the verdict? However Wardha replied Get well soon!!!.
Another user added, “Abhey Korean budhi thodi sharam hai tujhe,” to which she replied, “Teri maa ko bol beta.” A third added, “ Kitna beshrama aurat ho tum,” She replied, “Kaun teri maa.”
Screenshots shared by fans reveal that Wardha's replies were indeed abusive and shocking. Meanwhile, Sikandar’s box office collection is not up to the mark. It has collected only Rs. 74.50 crore in three days. The film is expected to witness a decline in earnings.
