The show went off-air in 2018 leaving everyone disheartened. The love for this show never faded away and people kept requesting the makers to bring it back. Hence, we got CID 2 in 2024. Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava have returned as ACP Pradyuman, Daya and Abhijeet. They have been iconic characters and the love for them keeps increasing.

The fans of the show were once again disappointed as the news about ACP Pradyuman dying came out. Shivaji Satam also confirmed that he is not shooting for the show and will not be seen as Pradyuman. The death scene was quite emotional to watch as it has been the most loved character of the show.

Post that, Parth Samthaan entered the show as ACP Ayushmaan. However, fans have been disappointed that the makers have killed the most important character. Hence, as per reports, the makers decided to bring back Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman. But the news was not confirmed by anyone.

Now, Parth has shared a video on his Instagram stories where he is seen shooting with Shivaji Satam. This has been the best gift for fans. They finally saw ACP back on the sets.
