Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light has a single nomination in the Best Film Not in the English Language category. Well, the nominations were announced on Wednesday by actors Mia McKenna-Bruce and Will Sharpe. All We Imagine As Light has made India proud at the BAFTA nominations. But, Payal did miss out on the Best Director category and the Best Original Screenplay category at the BAFTAs.

All We Imagine As Light was listed in three categories at the BAFTA, including Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Not in the English Language. But, it has managed to make its place in one category. The other nominees in the category are Emilia Perez, The Seed of the Sacred Fig, I'm Still Here and Kneecap.

Well, Payal Kapadia was nominated in the Best Director category at the Golden Globe Awards, but unfortunately, she lost the award to Brady Corbet for The Brutalist. All We Imagine As Light was also nominated in the Best Film Not in the English Language Category, but they lost it to Emilia Perez.

All We Imagine As Light is a story about two Malayali nurses, Prabha and Anu. Well, Prabha’s life changes when her estranged husband sends her an unexpected gift and Anu on the other hand struggles to find a place to get intimate with her lover. Directed by Payal Kapadia, the film stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, and Hridhu Haroon in pivotal roles. It can be watched on Disney + Hotstar in India. The BAFTA Film awards will be streaming LIVE in India on Lionsgate Play on 16th February. The film is an official Indo-French co-production between Petit Chaos from France and Chalk & Cheese and Another Birth from India.
