The Diary of Manipur’s director Sanoj Mishra has said in an interview that he has finalized a South Indian actress for the lead role in his film. However, he later replaced her and casted Monalisa.
Sanoj Mishra in the interview said that for his upcoming film he was in search of a very poor girl. Although he had finalized a South Indian actress for the film, when he saw Monalisa’s videos, he found her close to the character required in the film.
Director Sanoj said that he casted Monalisa after taking permission from her father, visiting her house, meeting her friends, family, people and society. He also revealed that he took permission from the station in-charge before signing her.
Talking about Monalisa’s acting, Sanoj said that four teachers are working on Monalisa who are teaching her the basics of acting and she is improving a lot. He also said that he has kept Monalisa’s family in a bungalow on the highway between Indore and Ujjain.
