Good Day got together G-Dragon's close friends from the 88-liners. The show featured 1988-born stars including Jung Hae-In, Lee Soo-Hyuk, Im Si-Wan, Hwang Kwang-Hee and popular Korean star Kim Soo Hyun.
G-Dragon's variety show Good Day recently wrapped up its finale, but not without some controversy. The show had edited out Kim Soo-Hyun's parts in the final episode due to his scandal involving allegations of dating Kim Sae-Ron when she was a minor. Reportedly, the two were in a relationship when Sae Ron was just 15-years-old while Soo Hyun was 27.
Good Day also edited out Kim Soo Hyun from its music video. Soo Hyun was nowhere to be seen in the Good Day 2025 released music video. Not just this, now Soo Hyun was even absent from the maker’s released Thank You list.
On April 22, MBC expressed gratitude to the celebrities who appeared on the show by tagging them in a heartfelt thank-you post. It included Jung Hae-In, Lee Soo-Hyuk, Im Si-Wan, Hwang Kwang-Hee and others.
However, the gratitude list lacked Kim Soo Hyun’s name. This was noted by eagle eyed fans of the popular Koren star. Fans also guessed the obvious reason for the act of the makers.
Good Day was aired while the Queen of Tears star was surrounded in controversy. The variety show hosted by G-Dragon, faced backlash after continuing to film with Kim Soo-Hyun amidst his controversy with Kim Sae-Ron. As a result, the show had to postpone its sixth episode.
Kim Soo-Hyun's segments were noticeably edited out of the episode, despite its special significance for featuring the 1988 hits.Good Day suffered with the range of its viewership which notably dropped leading to a quiet finale of the show on April 13.
The teaser of Good Day 2025 was dropped on April 16. The show is a remake of City Boys, a classic 1988 hit Telepathy and by the Moon Lighted Window. The track is produced by G-Dragon and includes performances by celebrities from the show. The full video will be released on April 24, with all proceeds going towards supporting underprivileged children, teens, and communities.
