His last film Laal Singh Chaddha did not perform well at the box office. He was heartbroken and shattered as he put his heart and soul in the film. But it did get good reviews with its OTT release. Amid all of this, Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan marked his debut. He played the lead in historical drama Maharaj and impressed all with his acting chops. Now, Junaid Khan is gearing up for the release of his movie Loveyapa. He shares the screen space with Khushi Kapoor. For the film to be a success, Aamir Khan has reportedly taken a 'mannat'.
Aamir Khan plans to quit smoking
As per a report in entertainment news site Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan has vowed to quit smoking if Loveyapa becomes a box office success. It is his way of hoping and trying to ensure that his son's movie is appreciated by all. Earlier, in a chat with Nana Patekar for Zee Music Company’s YouTube channel, Aamir Khan had spoken about his bad habits. When asked about it, he was quoted saying, "I smoke a pipe. Now I have quit drinking but at one point, I used to drink. And when I used to drink, I would drink all night. I could not stop." Guess, he is now willing to give up on his bad habit for his son Junaid Khan.
Talking about Loveyapa, Aamir Khan has already given his thumbs up to the film. In a chat with ANI, Aamir Khan shared his review and said that he liked the movie and is very entertaining. He also added that the film shows how the lives of people have changed due to mobile phones and tech. He also commented on Khushi Kapoor's acting chops. He said that he could see a bit of late Sridevi in her performance. "Her energy was there, I could see," he said.
Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa is a romantic comedy film about a couple whose mobile phones get exchanged. The release date is yet to be announced.
