"Apparently, it was the hand of someone who could connect with the dead, right, so everyone around him thought, let's just cut his hand off."

Netflix is improving their horror selection with one of the best horror movies of the past few years. Talk to Me, written and directed by brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, was just added to the service. It is already the #10th most popular film currently streaming on Netflix.

Talk to Me is a supernatural horror movie about a party game involving the embalmed hand of a psychic. By holding the hand and saying “talk to me”, querents are able to commune with the dead. Taking it a step further, saying “I let you in” allows a spirit to possess their body. Each player has a strict time limit of 90 seconds before they must disconnect from the hand.

The main character in Talk to Me is 17-year-old Mia, who is still grieving the death of her mother after two years. Understandably, she is fascinated by the Talk to Me game and endangers herself and others by overstaying the 90 second time limit. Mia is then haunted by a spirit she believes is her mother, who asks her to do something terrible.

Talk to Me (2022) is currently streaming on Netflix.
