While this is a quiet day when it comes to movie releases in theaters (thanks to the American holiday), that doesn’t mean you don’t have plenty to watch.

The biggest movie of the year so far, Sinners, is finally making its way to streaming today. We’ve also got the debut of a new shark-related reality competition show and the finale of the newest season of Taskmaster. Here’s to a great Friday!

Sinners is now on HBO Max

HBO Max

That’s right–everyone’s favorite vampire-fueled allegory of racism and colonialism is finally landing on a streaming service. If you haven’t already seen Ryan Coogler’s masterpiece, now’s the perfect time. And if you can invite some people over, it’s even better watched with an audience.

Netflix has a new shark reality show

Debuting today is a new competition show all about sharks: All the Sharks. “Find the Sharks. Win the Cash.” If that tagline doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what does. Teams of shark experts go around the world trying to find the most elusive sharks. If you’re a fan of the big sea predators, this is for you.

If you haven’t been watching Taskmaster, now’s the time

I’m going to tell you this because I feel very strongly about it: Taskmaster is the funniest competition show of all time. Featuring five contestants per season, people are given wild and wacky tasks to complete to curry the favor of the Greg Davies, the Taskmaster. The final episode of season 19, featuring Jason Mantzoukas as the first American contestant, debuts today. (Though I encourage you to binge the whole series, which is available on YouTube.)

What we’re talking about

Of course, this is the most apt day to watch Independence Day.

Happy watching!
