Travis Kelce Says Adam Sandler Getting Ordained to Marry Him and Taylor Swift Was Absolutely Insane’ and ‘He’s the F***ing Best Person on This Planet’

Travis Kelce is finally talking about his wedding to Taylor Swift. On the Season 5 premiere of “New Heights,” the podcast he co-hosts with his retired NFL star brother Jason Kelce, the tight end broke his silence on the night that had stayed almost completely under wraps. The episode dropped Tuesday, Sept. 2, and marked his first real breakdown of the July 3 celebration at Madison Square Garden — one of the most tightly guarded celebrity events of the year.
The detail that clearly still stuns him: Adam Sandler got ordained in the state of New York specifically to officiate the ceremony. “He has been just the f*cking best person on this planet,” Kelce said of the actor, who handled the whole thing “in the very Sandman style.” Sandler gave the couple “more than what we could’ve ever imagined at that moment, knowing that it was the biggest night of our lives,” Kelce said. “It was absolutely insane.”

Beyond the surprise officiant, Kelce described the wedding itself as “so magical,” and said he and Swift are grateful for everyone who turned out — “from the vows to just seeing everyone, to how much fun we had.”
If he has one regret, it’s that the night moved too fast. “I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did,” he said. “It felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.”
