A24 and director Lance Oppenheim have officially set a theatrical release date for Primetime. The upcoming drama starring Robert Pattinson is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on September 25, 2026, following its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.

Directed by documentary filmmaker Lance Oppenheim (Ren Faire) from a screenplay written by Ajon Singh, the film takes inspiration from the 2006 television phenomenon To Catch a Predator. Pattinson plays an ambitious NBC Dateline correspondent who seeks to make television history by tracking and confronting suspected online child predators alongside law enforcement and a team of undercover decoys.

Beyond starring in the lead role, Pattinson co-produced the feature through his Icki Eneo Arlo banner alongside Brighton McCloskey, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger, Lars Knudsen, and Tyler Campellone. The ensemble cast includes Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Maher, Bokeem Woodbine, and Anna Faris, delivering an intense exploration of tabloid journalism, media sensationalism, and modern vigilante culture.
