Marvel Studios is reportedly in talks with Heated Rivalry breakout Connor Storrie to play the antagonist in its upcoming Ghost Rider feature opposite Ryan Gosling. The Shawn Levy-directed adaptation marks the character’s official entry into the MCU.

The project reteams director Shawn Levy with screenwriter Jonathan Tropper, following their work together on Star Wars: Starfighter. Alongside directing, Levy produces alongside Gosling, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Stephen Broussard, with Richie Palmer and Jessie Henderson attached as executive producers. Production is slated to begin filming in New York next year following Feige’s initial announcement of the movie during Comic-Con.

Storrie’s potential casting follows his breakout role as Ilya Romanov in the drama Heated Rivalry, an Emmy-nominated hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, and a role alongside Billie Eilish in Sarah Polley’s upcoming adaptation of The Bell Jar. While Gosling’s casting was confirmed this summer, Marvel has not confirmed which iteration of Ghost Rider he will portray or which specific villain Storrie would embody opposite him.

Marvel Studios’ Ghost Rider is scheduled to hit theaters on July 28, 2028.
