Netflix has officially released the first trailer for its upcoming limited series Pride and Prejudice, starring Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden. The six-part production brings Jane Austen’s classic 1813 romantic drama back to the screen.
Penned by Everything I Know About Love author Dolly Alderton and directed by Heartstopper filmmaker Euros Lyn, the six-part limited series follows the will-they-won’t-they dynamic between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy as they navigate the rigid societal landscape of 19th-century England. Produced by Lisa Osborne, the project is executive produced by Corrin, Alderton, and Lyn alongside Laura Lankester, as well as Will Johnston and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point.
The ensemble cast features Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet, Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet, Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, and Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley. Rounding out the lineup are Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham, Rhea Norwood as Lydia Bennet, Siena Kelly as Caroline Bingley, and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourg. Screen newcomers Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery make their debuts as Mary Bennet and Kitty Bennet, joined by supporting cast members Anjana Vasan, Sebastian Armesto, Rosie Cavaliero, Saffron Coomber, James Dryden, Justin Edwards, James Northcote, Eloise Webb, and Isabella Sermon.
Pride and Prejudice premieres on Netflix on December 3. Watch the trailer above.
