On October 22, Hypebeast officially opened the doors for its 20th anniversary exhibition — a gallery and limited pop-up celebrating two decades of driving streetwear culture forward. Located at 60 White St, in the heart of Lower Manhattan, the space peers back at the global media platform’s relationship with the communities, tastemakers, and brands that made Hypebeast what it is today.
Along with guiding visitors through Hypebeast’s rise through immersive displays and storytelling, the exhibition also offers a limited quantity of the 20th anniversary t-shirt collection for purchase. To mark the milestone year, we have partnered with 20 brands, designers, and artists from its sphere to collaborate on limited-edition tees, including A BATHING APE®, Anti Social Social Club, Brain Dead, NEIGHBORHOOD, Supreme, Takashi Murakami, UNDERCOVER, and many more.
In addition to tees, major brands like Ray-Ban and UMBRO have created special products just for the celebration. Ray-Ban’s Mega Balorama wraparound sunglasses feature a Hypebeast logo on the inside of the temple, while Umbro’s signature tracksuit is updated with a Hypebeast FC crest, nodding to the brand’s soccer origins. Visitors will also find an archive of past issues of Hypebeast Magazine, from the inaugural Synthesis Issue from 2012 to our recently released Platinum Issue.
In the span of twenty years, streetwear didn’t just endure — it coalesced with fashion, becoming a definitive force in global youth culture. The pioneering figures and brands of the early years are now the industry’s established leaders, and Hypebeast’s own journey—as a central participant and curator—reflects this monumental shift. Within this space, we invite you to reflect on this journey with us.
The Hypebeast 20th anniversary exhibition will be open from 11 am – 7 pm until October 26. Here’s to the next 20, and beyond!
