The Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition gives Nintendo‘s console a full Zelda makeover, wrapping the system, dock and Joy-Con 2 in design cues pulled from the series. Built to mark four decades of the franchise, the special edition keeps the standard Switch 2 hardware intact while reworking nearly every visible surface around the Triforce.

Finished in black and gold, it places the golden symbol of the Triforce on the front, surrounded by decorations inspired by the Legend of Zelda game series across its surface. That theming carries around the hardware: patterns and symbols drawn from the series decorate the back of both the system and the dock, turning the console’s exterior into a running tribute rather than a single logo drop.

The included Joy-Con 2 pair arrives in the classic green and gold long associated with the series, finished with the same series-inspired detailing seen elsewhere on the hardware. One important note for buyers: the console does not include a game, positioning this as a collector’s finish on the base system rather than a bundle.

Under the theming, this is a standard Switch 2. Games run on the vivid 7.9-inch 1080p screen that showcases the system’s processing and graphics performance, and connecting to a compatible TV through the included dock allows compatible games to play at up to 4K resolution.
