As per Deadline, the upcoming film will deliver “the hallmarks of what players love about the games,” although no specific details such as a plot or casting have been revealed. Berg and Sheridan will co-write and produce, with the former also serving as director.
Reports broke ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s release in November. Call of Duty continues to be one of the most successful video game franchises in history. Deadline adds that the title has been the No. 1 best-selling video game series in the US for 16 years straight, selling over 500 million copies globally.
