The latest update for Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles 2 continues the game’s expanding Infinity Castle DLC roadmap with the addition of Akaza (Infinity Castle), arriving as both an individual character pack and part of the Infinity Castle – Part 1 Character Pass.

Following earlier DLC drops featuring Muzan Kibutsuji, Kaigaku and Zenitsu in their respective Infinity Castle forms, this update brings one of the series’ most iconic Upper Rank demons into the arena with a new move set inspired by his appearance in the climactic arc. The official gameplay trailer showcases enhanced animations, cinematic effects and updated combat choreography tailored to Akaza’s martial‑arts‑driven Blood Demon Art, emphasizing close‑quarters pressure, rapid counters and high‑impact finishers.

Developer CyberConnect2 has refined his combat to emphasize speed, aggression and relentless pressure, building him as a high-intensity fighter built for close-range dominance in the game’s Versus Mode. His moveset features his destructive Blood Demon Art techniques, including signature attacks like Crushing Type: Collapse and the fierce Explosive Flurry.

As with previous DLC fighters, Akaza is playable across Versus Mode and online battles, and his release continues the steady rollout of characters tied to the game’s Infinity Castle storyline. Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles 2 remains available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC, with the Akaza DLC available from December 19, 2025.
