NEEDLES and A Tribe Called Quest have joined forces on a Fall/Winter 2026 collaborative capsule that pairs the Japanese label’s best-known silhouettes with the group’s graphics. Revealed on NEEDLES’ Instagram and through a NEPENTHES lookbook, the four-piece lineup runs from a matching track suit to a roll-neck knit cardigan and a baseball-style jacket, each finished in a tight red, green and black color story.
The B.B. Jacket anchors the collection and leans hardest into the group’s catalog. The black, snap-front bomber features red and green striped rib knit at the collar, cuffs and hem, plus a small butterfly embroidery on the chest. Across the back, a chenille patch recreates the red and green figure from the cover of The Low End Theory, the group’s second album, with the title stitched in green. The timing lands neatly, as the record hit its 35th anniversary on September 24.
The Track Jacket keeps NEEDLES’ familiar build: a black shell with a stand collar, raglan sleeves, zippered hand pockets and ribbed cuffs and hem. The sleeve tape swaps the label’s usual stripes for red and green bands that run from shoulder to wrist and down the side seams. A red and green butterfly emblem sits on the chest above embroidered “ATCQ” lettering, while the back carries the group’s circular logo, stitched with ankh symbols and dancing stick figures.
The matching Track Pant mirrors the jacket’s details. The same red and green tape runs down the outer leg, and a pressed seam traces the front of each leg. Zippered pockets sit at the hips, and the butterfly and “ATCQ” embroidery repeats on the thigh.
The Roll Neck Cardigan pushes the palette furthest. Its knit body is covered in jagged diagonal streaks of red, green and black, finished with a black roll neck, ribbed trim and a snap placket. A round black patch on the chest carries the butterfly emblem and “ATCQ” lettering.
The NEEDLES x A Tribe Called Quest collection drops October 17 at NEPENTHES in Japan, with stores in Tokyo, Osaka and Hakata and the SOUTH2 WEST8 shop in Sapporo.
