Julianne Moore, Sydney Sweeney Plunge Into Murderous Plot in ‘Echo Valley’ Trailer

Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney star in new thriller Echo Valley, playing a mother and daughter immersed in the consequences of a dark secret.

Michael Pearce directs the Apple Original film, which is written by Brad Inglesby. The trailer opens with Kate (Moore) startled by the sudden appearance of her troubled daughter Claire (Sweeney) on her doorstep covered in rain and blood. Claire confesses to her mother that during an argument with her boyfriend, she hit him with a rock. After Claire says no one saw her, Kate wraps up his body, lugs it in the back of her car, and dumps it in a body of water. “As Kate pieces together the shocking truth of what happened, she learns just how far a mother will go to try to save her child in this gripping tale of love, sacrifice and survival,” the film’s synopsis reads.

Echo Valley is set to arrive June 13 on Apple TV+. The project is produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss of Scott Free Films, alongside Kevin J. Walsh via The Walsh Company and Ingelsby. Rebecca Feuer and Nicole Jordan-Webber of Scott Free Films, Erika Olde and Sam Roseme of Black Bicycle Entertainment, and Ted Deiker and Scott Greenberg serve as executive producers. Actor Domhnall Gleeson co-stars alongside Moore and Sweeney.

Moore also stars in Sirens, a new limited series premiering May 22 on Netflix. Meanwhile, Sweeney will reprise her role as Cassie in Season Three of HBO’s hit drama Euphoria alongside Hunter Schafer‘s Jules, Jacob Elorid’s Nate, Alexa Demie’s Maddy, Eric Dane’s Cal, and Maude Apatow’s Lexi. Musician Rosalía, professional athlete-turned-actor Marshawn Lynch, and actor Kadeem Hardison, will also join the cast, per Deadline.
