The final trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, a spinoff film of Disney+’s The Mandalorian series, dropped on Thursday and continued the adventures of the bounty hunter Din Djarin (played by a mostly masked Pedro Pascal) and “Baby Yoda.” The action-packed two-minute clip sees the Clan of Two enlisted by the New Republic Colonel Ward (sci-fi icon Sigourney Weaver) to capture Imperial warlords that have scattered across the galaxy following the fall of the Empire.
In the trailer, fans get the live-action introduction of Rotta the Hutt (voiced by Jeremy Allen White) from the animated 2008 Clone Wars movie alongside thrilling chases, plenty of cute Grogu moments, and a sage Pascal telling his young apprentice, “The old protect the young, and then the young protect the old.”
The upcoming film will be directed by Jon Favreau, who created the series and has written the majority of its episodes; Favreau also led the first episode of The Mandalorian’s second season. Favreau produced the project in collaboration with Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with Karen Gilchrist, John Bartnicki, and Carrie Beck serving as executive producers.
